SCANDIC MARINE SERVICES LTD is an independent marine and engineering consultancy and survey organization, providing high quality services to the shipping and offshore energy industries. SCANDIC was established in Bristol in 1934. Since then, we have grown into an international, multi-disciplinary organization, with offices across the world. Our team now comprises over 100 professionally qualified personnel.
Mission
Our mission is to provide the international shipping and marine industry with high quality surveys and services on a 24/7 basis. Our surveyors and consultants located worldwide are highly qualified, motivated and have extensive sea-going and/or industry relevant experience.
Scandic Marine Quality System, together with our Laws & Bye Laws, ensure that all surveys are carried out in a uniform house-styled manner and in line with good industry practice and standards.
Commitment to, and compliance with, the Scandic Marine Quality System is facilitated by training, seminars and group meetings, as well as in-house developed support systems based on the latest technology.

History
The history of the Scandic Marine goes back to 1934 when the company was founded with its head office at Bristol to serve Marine industry of UK and Scandinavian countries.
During the next 30 years the Company became the leading surveying and consultancey company with its offices across UK and Scandinavia.
The Company demonstrated its growth to meet the requirements of the rapidly developing marine industry.
In 1995 the first office in Asia was launched. Singapore office became the center of offshore and energy in Asia Pacific Region.
Having acquired Independent Marine Expertise in 2018 Scandic Marine strengthen its team with Russian based professionals. This office is responsible for surveys carried out across the Country from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok.
That vision, developed within the company, resulted in further expansion including representation in overseas areas such as China, South-America and more recently, in 2016, a branch office in India.
Whilst the Scandic Marine is now well established internationally, opportunities for expanding the present network are continuously being explored. Rapid expansion has never been a goal in itself and attention of the Group remains focused on professionalism and providing high quality survey standards.
